Edd Conner and his handmade coffin. 

Edd planted a walnut tree in his sister's yard, and returned to cut it down in 1918. 

He made this coffin himself from the lumber in that tree.  Edd was the family historian

for the Conner and Mingus families.  He was the son of Mary Carolina Mingus (daughter of Ephraim Mingus, grandaughter of John Jacob Mingus) and Edward F. Conner, son of William Conner.
