Muster Roll, Co B, 25th NC Regiment
Tuckaseigee Democrat, September 23, 1891

[Webmaster's Note: From Journeys Through Jackson, Volume 2, Number 5. Names are listed as "alphabetized" by the Tuckaseigee Democrat Editor.]

Tuckaseigee Democrat Editor: As the time for the reunion of the Confederate veterans at Webster is close at hand, it called to my mind the dark days of 30 years ago, when the flower and manhood of our country turned their backs upon their mothers and all the endearments of home at the call of our greater mother to defend a cause they believed to be right, but which cause, in the wisdom of Him who sees everything in a balance, was lost. As I thought the publication of the names of those who once belonged to Co. B, 25th North Carolina Regiment, would interest many of the surviving veterans and the friends of those who could not be with us on that day to see a list of names published which I have not seen since July, 1861, in the Asheville News, I herewith transmit to you a list of their names. If you see proper to publish the list you will greatly oblige. I would be glad if every member of the company and their friends had a list of the names as an heirloom.
